Meet Nina

September 15, 2019

Hi. I am Nina Xu from Beijing, China. Little Park Child Care, I work with, is a beautiful fruit that evolved from a 2 hours playgroup at my living room 2015. It is beautiful because everything is empowered by our community of respectful and resourceful parents. How amazing and lucky Little Park has the most supportive community. At Little Park, mutual respects flows between children, parents and educators which are a treasure!

What aspect of the Educaring® Approach resonates with you the most?

I respect Educaring® Approach as I was, and am, amazed by how beautiful things infants and toddlers could do with our trust and enough help.

What are you most grateful for?

I am so grateful about my free-play experiences at countryside when I was little. I felt so blessed to have my parent’s permission of exploring trees, river, corn field and having my own ducklings, goose and chicken which are impossible when we moved to capital city. All I had as a child indulged me becoming a life-long explorer and learner.

What is one thing you do for yourself? Or, what is one thing you would like to do for yourself?

I tried many different dance styles. When I found dancing, it made me respect and enjoy being myself. I would like to have a room with mirror for dancing at home.

If your life was a book or song, what would the title be?

A collection of poems. The title might be a clear soul or something about freedom.

What was your favorite book as a child?

A traditional Chinese story which is about a boy who helps people out with his magic brush.

What teacher inspired you the most? How?

My 8th grade English teacher. She is full of energy to inspire and empower her students like me with her smile and gentle voice. My confidence was rebuilt little by little even with the teenager pressure and academic challenge at same time.

What three words best describe you?

Creative, passionate and reflective.

What is the best question anyone has asked you?

What do you think? Cuz I feel respected when I could express myself freely.
