Who am I?
I am a current doctoral candidate in developmental psychology at University of Notre Dame. I graduated from St. Thomas in 2014, and had been working with infants at the Child Development Center. My experience there helped develop my career interests in child development, particularly social and moral development. I live in South Bend, IN with my husband Anthony, who also worked at the UST CDC when we met.
How did you find FORM?
I worked at the UST CDC with Carolyn as a student worker when FORM was in its early stages.
What aspect of the Educaring® Approach resonates with you the most and why?
The idea that, when given the freedom, infants can be trusted to express interests and initiate their own learning and development really resonates with me.
What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for having an amazing group of people who support me in every aspect of life.
What is one thing you do for yourself? Or what would you like to do for yourself?
I make time to read fiction (instead of only research articles and textbooks) and garden.
What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.
What teacher inspired you the most? How?
Dr. Tonia Bock inspired me most. She was so caring for all of her students, and took so much time to guide me. She continues to this this 4 years after graduation, and I am so grateful!
