About The Event

Caregiving as the Curriculum* Part 1: Respectful Diapering. Relationship-building interactions like diapering, bathing, feeding, and dressing are often seen as 'tasks to get through' so you can move onto something 'more important.' Tonight, we are going to spend time looking at the Educaring Approach to diapering through video, experiential activities, and discussion. Whether a parent, grandparent, or seasoned caregiver---you might discover that this changes how you view and approach this built in one-on-one time!

"The way you care for your baby is how he experiences your love." ~Magda Gerber and Allison Johnson, Your Self-Confident Baby.

*Magda Gerber said, "We should educate while we care and care while we educate." She coined the terms "educarer" and "Educaring" as she believed the "curriculum is in the caring."
